The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Elder Kopischke Tours our Mission

We just finished our Zone Conference Mission tour with Elder Kopischke. He is from Germany and is a member of the First Quorum of Seventy. He is the new Europe Area President . We felt blessed to have him teach our missionaries. We had three zone conferences. The first one was in Lille, France. We had all of our French elders and sisters together. The next two were held in Rotterdam and Den Haag, the Netherlands, with our Dutch missionaries. Wow! I wasn’t quite prepared for an experience like this. Elder Kopischke taught us beautifully by the spirit. I was amazed how he could answer any question with his scriptures! The time passed so quickly, and we were taking notes as fast as we could. There was so much to take in. Elder Kopischke spent the afternoon inviting the missionaries to ask any questions they had. President Kopischke was able to find answers to their questions in the scriptures. We were so blessed by the spirit. We had 7 hours of instruction, and the missionaries didn’t want to quit at 5:00 pm. The missionaries were so wonderful to watch. We didn’t have one sleepy elder in the bunch! They were so attentive, and so eager to learn! Each Zone Conference was completely different. The conference was totally directed by the desires of the missionaries. After each Zone Conference, Elder Kopischke met with the Stake Presidents. President Brubaker was excited about what transpired in these meetings. President Kopischke has a gift for teaching, and those in attendance were motivated to make some necessary changes.
