The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Elder Sanchez Joins Our Strong Band of Missionaries

We received Elder Sanchez this morning. He might be short in stature, but he has a testimony
like Samuel, the Lamanite! He was SO excited to finally be here!
It was a beautiful day to visit the Dedication Site in Tervuren Park.
President Brubaker shared with Elder Sanchez the significance of this peaceful, hallowed place.
Elder Bell was his companion for the day. Together they have this much love to share!

A tender mercy from heaven: As we finished our discussion at the place where the country of Belgium and Luxembourg was dedicated by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, there was a family walking towards us. They were speaking Spanish. Elder needed no coercing, as he walked over to this family and started visiting with them in Spanish. He had his first contact, and was able to share a pass-a-long card and his testimony with this young family.

We left Elder Bell and Elder Sanchez to share the Gospel with many. They were well prepared!
Later that evening, Elder Sanchez was excited to come back to the missio home
to finally find out where he would be serving and who his trainer would be!
He will be serving in Hengelo in the Netherlands
and will be privilege to be trained by Elder Ellsworth!

“This cause will roll on in majesty and power to fill the earth.
Doors now closed to the preaching of the gospel will be opened.
The Almighty, if necessary, may have to shake the nations to humble them
and cause them to listen to the servants of the living God.
Whatever is needed will come to pass.”

President Gordon B. Hinckley

  1. Teaching Elder Sanchez was a very special experience for me. It doesn't surprise me one but that he headed straight out the gate to teach. He will be an incredible asset to the mission. Give him, and all of the missionaries I've had the great privilege to teach, my love. (I think I've taught every one of them now, actually.)

  3. Hello, I see he is going to serve in Eindhoven but I live in the Eindhoven ward and he is not serving here, and here is not a elder Elssworth serving either.
