The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

A Week Of Interviews

President Brubaker had a week full of interviews this past week! Our missionaries were excited and had reason to be! There is a feeling of enthusiasm and energy in our mission right now! We have had a tremendous six months. Our missionaries are so focused and have really srtived to reach our goal!

We feel their excitement for missionary work! Hurrah for the Amsterdam District!
After interviews I had an incredible experience being the joint teach with Sister Holbien and Sister Kremer. They taught Delroy at the church. The lesson was taught in Dutch and English, and I had some translation by the sisters when they switched back and forth from English to Dutch. No matter the language the spirit was so strong, and Delroy had a big smile on his face during the lesson as he recognized important principles that sounded so familiar to him, as if he had heard them before.
The next day we went to the Leiden Church for interviews with the Den Haag District. It was a great day!
Who says missionaries don't know how to cook?
We were greeted by the Groningen District Friday morning! The enthusiasm continued to be strong in the furthest northern part of our mission! Groningen is so pleased to have Elder and Zuster Van Komen, who arrived just a few weeks ago! They are excited to be back in Holland where Elder Van Komen served as a young missionary. We feel very blessed to have them here.
The enthusiasm continued throughout the week, and on Saturday we went to Apeldoorn for interviews. Apeldoorn District are doing great! The Center for Young Adults is thriving with new Chinese investigators and members! Elder Verwey and Elder Waldie are seeing many fruits of their hard work!
"When performance is measured, performance improves.
When performance is measured and reported,
the rate of improvement accelerates."
