The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Interviews Continue......

We had a tender mercy on our way to Lille this morning. We came to a grand bouchon (traffic jam). Not knowing for sure if we took the exit if we would get to Lille, but we took it anyway. What a tender mercy! We were out in the countryside, and it was so beautiful. We passed a strawberry farm, where all the strawberries were on stilts, like in our mission in France! It was so beautiful to see the farm fields preparing for spring! There was a boulangerie that was so tempting to stop! There was a beautiful sign with a baker holding a large amount of bread! Very tempting but we didn’t succumb! Scott was reading letters as we drove, and I couldn’t help interrupting him so he wouldn't miss the beautiful trees, the verdant green hills, a sweet little farm, etc.

The missionaries were taught by Elder Carpenter and Elder Bertrand. They are very creative in their training. They compared missionary work to a War. They gave each a new sticker that they put over their missionary tags with their new names of their platoon.

War-people are ready- War of testimonies

Weapons- spirits sword, companion, scriptures, prayer power of truth, prophet, prophecies, desire, priesthood power, key indicators

Use a testimony as a weapon-

1. testify often

2. spirit can testify of the truthfulness

Our Arras missionaries are ready to serve with gusto!
The missionaries learn best when they are able to participate in the training.
We all felt better after being treated by the St. Quentin missionaries!
Elder Bybee, Elder Kudelka, and Elder Carpenter enjoy a moment together.

Elder Carpenter bore a powerful testimony to us! He always wnated to stand on a soap box and testify! And he did it! The other missionaries had the opportunity to share their testimonies.
Elder Paoli and President Brubaker had some fun in front of the camera.
Our missionaries love to gather and sing together during our lunch break. We are blessed with very talented missionaries.

We have great cooks in our mission. Elder Harper and Elder Bertrand treated us to homemade scones!
Did you plan on matching today? Soeur Kohler and Soeur Gappmaier and Elder Carpenter and Elder Bertrand are ready to put everything they learned today into action. The missionaries are so excited to go find the elect!

Nous vous aimons beaucoup les missionaires!
