The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

The Hague Zone President's Training

This month the Zone President's Training started on the 14th of June. We had 4 trainings with four zones in our mission. By the end of the week we had the opportunity to be with every missionary in our mission.
The theme was Unity in the Spirit.
We learned in Acts 2: 1-4 what the day of Pentecost means.
Pinksterdag (Pentecost) is celebrated for about four days in the Netherlands.
Jesus had been crucified and resurrected at the time of the Passover, was with his disciples. 40 days after the resurrection, and the day of Pentecost came 50 days after the Passover. So it was only a few days after Christ's ascension into heaven that the Holy Ghost came upon the apostles with great power.
They were allowed by the Holy Ghost to speak in tongues. You as missionaries are a living witnesses of the gift of tongues. By your faith you are learning Dutch and many of you are quite proficient at it. Every missionary, without exception speaks Dutch.
"The ability to qualify for, receive, and act on personal revelation is the single most important skill that can be acquired in this life."
Julie Beck General Conference April 2010

What missionaries must do to qualify for the companionship of the Holy Ghost
Alma 17:2-3 Sons of Mosiah meet up with Alma
D&C 4: 5-7 Before the inspiration comes
D&C 121 34-36 ....The Holy Ghost shall be your constant companion, and thy scepter an unchanging scepter of righteousness and truth; and thy dominion shall be an everlasting dominion, and without compulsory means it shall flow unto thee forever and ever.

The Den Haag Zone is accomplishing great things! We feel their enthusiasm for missionary work!
