The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Two Zones Come Together for Zone President's Training

The Hague and the Rotterdam Zones were eager and ready for a great day of instruction and learning!
Wow! When we walked into the room I was overwhelmed with a feeling of love and gratitude for each missionary!
Celebrating birthdays is something we all look forward to. We have a fun tradition in our mission! We make a big deal when a missionary has a birthday. Missionaries have one minute to bombard the birthday recipient with sincere compliments and qualities they admire in the missionary.
This is the results.....look at those wonderful smiles!
We learn all kinds of wonderful things about our missionaries!
Once every missionary has been spotlighted and given a gift out of the birthday basket, we asked Elder Waldie to lead us in our enthusiastic Dutch birthday song! He puts his whole heart and soul into it!
President Brubaker taught the importance of bringing families into the church. Everyone has aunts, cousins, grandmas, grandpas, mom, dads, uncles....they are a gold mine of referrals just waiting to be taught about the Gospel.
We hope to be the mission that looks for families to teach!
Elder Favero and Elder Osmond sang beautifully to set the tone for the afternoon.
President Brubaker asked everyone to hold on.......changes are in the air!
He introduced the brand new "hot off the press"
In-Field Training for New Missionaries.
Even though this new program is for new missionaries and their trainers,
every missionary will take an extra hour of companionship study each day
for the next 12 weeks to learn right along with the new missionaries!
This means a change to the daily schedule! We have the best missionaries! They accepted the change with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
They could readily see the inspiration of these changes.
We are one big happy family!
