The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

So Hard To Say Good-Bye......

President Brubaker and the departing missionaries arrived at the mission home after spending the afternoon with their president in the mission office.  President Brubaker gives each of our missionaries who are preparing to go home one last interview.  Upon arriving at the mission home, the weather was glorious, so why not try a bicycle built just for missionaries.....a bicycle built for two!

Elder van de Graaf and Elder van Overbeek decided this is the way to go!  Now they can practice their lessons on their bike and waist no time.

Sister Hill and Sister Rich took a turn.  All that natural talent!
 We teach about companionship unity!

Elder Sanchez, Sister Hill, and Sister Rich have loved serving the Lord diligently and with so much love for the work.
We spent a "heavenly" evening together.  As we ate dinner together, the missionaries shared with us their most memorable moments on their mission.  They had so many to share, the time slipped away too fast.

A beautiful momento of their mission that is so unique to our mission.  A handpainted Delft plate with the names of the cities where they served and the name of our mission.
We gathered up their luggage the next morning.  We know we will see each other soon, so it wasn't as difficult to say good-bye to Elder Sanchez and Sister Hill at the airport.
Sister Rich was reunited  with very happy, thankful  and excited parents at the airport.
God be with you until we meet again.
