The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Tis the Season To Be Jolly.....in Apeldoorn Zone

Today we met in Amersfoort for our President's Zone Training. The Apeldoorn Zone was excited that we finally arrived! The snow has made it a little hard to drive in a country where they aren't too familiar with all of this white stuff! As we walked into the church we could hear wonderful male voices singing Christmas carols.
After the President's Training we quickly transformed the room for our Fondue Festivities!

We have no sister missionaries in the Apeldoorn Zone, just hungry elders which was a challenge to keep them supplied with enough fondue! This was a meal that tested their patience! But alas all were eventually satisfied even Elder Johnson!

"We need more cheese Sister Brubaker. !!!!"
Elder Christensen was really excited when he opened his Christmas gift from us! We decided that every missionary needed to experience the difference of warm wool on their feet! A much appreciated gift!

After lunch, the Apeldoorn elders prepared for the Christmas Program. We feel so very blessed to have missionaries with many hidden talents. Elder Sanchez volunteered to be the conductor for the evening. Missionaries waited patiently for the guests to arrive.

We were relieved when the young adults from Deventer finally arrived. The missionaries looked so sharp in their color coordinated red ties!
Thanks to all that participated and helped put together a very special Christmas program! Elder De Bruijn and Elder Verwey worries were for naught! We all enjoyed our time together as we experienced practicing andperforming a program all the missionaries felt was well worth the effort!
