The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Leadership Council at the Mission Home

Our monthly leadership council meeting met at the new mission home for a special day of instruction and learning. Many things were discussed and President Brubaker talked with the zone leaders. He talked about Missionary attributes There is something thats hard to define about being a missionary. It ties into faith and preparation. It’s kind of like having confidence in the Lord.. Some of us don’t have enough confidence. We need to be confident but stay humble. We need to understand the task at hand. Step back and see what a good missionary does. See the big picture

Imagine what a good missionary would do.

We need to get better at helping people come the last three feet to baptism.

1. PMG Chapter 12.

2. Daily Contact.

We are blessed with the gift of discernment, as we try our best to qualify for the spirit, we will be guided
to help our investigators reach their baptismal dates .
Each zone had the opportunity to share with one another how the Lord is blessing them in missionary work. it is a great learning opportunity and time to be unified as a mission as they learn and grow from one another.
Amazing things are possible......we just have to work for them!
Members play a key role in missionary work. When they catch the vision amazing things happen.
1. Invite members to invite.

a) Helaman 10:4-5 can be used to show that it can be scary but it’s a commandment and you will be blessed.

b) If we train members to invite then they will do all the finding!

c) Help members get over the fear of inviting friends and family.

We all worked up an appetite! We were blessed with a beautiful day to enjoy eating outside! Missionaries
are the best to cook for!
