This is the day we have all been waiting for! Nine new missionaries arrived in the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport bright and early this morning! We were SO happy they were on time!
They were greeted by the assistants, President Brubaker and I, and then we wheeled their luggage to the awaiting senior couple, Elder and Zister Pankratz who loaded their luggage in the mission van. They had their first European experience riding a train to the mission office in Leiden!
First experience eating pannekoeken in Leiden!
Elder Mickelsen, Elder Crittendon, and Elder Romer enjoy!
Zuster Hinchcliff, Zuster Townsend, and Zuster Schaub decide to share !
Zuster Jones and Zuster Davies loved the quaint Dutch restaurant!
Elder Christmensen, Elder Taylor, and Elder Douglas think this beats the food at the MTC!
The new missionaries divided up with the assistants and the office elders, and had their first contacting experience!
They were able to have some meaningful Gospel conversations with some young people.
The seasoned missionaries showed them it is not as scary as you think! When we met them back at the mission office they were excited to report to us how it went!
(more to come.......missionaries receive their first assignments at the mission home)
