The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Inspired New Training Begins

President Brubaker received a large packet from the missionary department in Salt Lake City several months ago with materials for more in depth training and inspired ways to help our missionaries become better master teachers. He taught the Den Haag Zone on Friday and the Rotterdam Zone on Saturday. It is exciting to be involved in this new training and feel of how much it is going to bless our mission. We have missionaries that aren't afraid to learn and practice what they have learned, and then put it to the TEST!

Elder Staker and Elder Bastian volunteered to make lunch for all of us. They went the extra mile and provided a tasty Thai Chicken and Rice with Peanut Sauce for the masses! They learned that a large bag of rice goes a long way! There was plenty enough for all!

Elder Robinson was the happy recipient of these fine cooks!
We love our Den Haag Zone!

Senior couples are a prized commodity in our mission! President Brubaker and I become a little selfish when it comes time for them to finish their service. Sorry seniors if we become like a broken record, trying to concoct ways to keep you a little longer! We are starting a new tradition in our mission. Elder Bastiaens from Belgium is signing a klompen for one of our beloved senior couples that is going home in a few weeks. We will present it to them at our Zone Conference next week.
