The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Missionary Apartments Receive A Big Facelift By Our Energetic And Able "Young at Heart" Seniors

I think our senior couples have found the secret to the "Fountain of Youth"! With the help of the other senior couples and the missionaries, Elder and Sister Salden have given ALL of the apartments in our mission a major facelift that will last for another 30 years! They are on their second mission in the BBN Mission, and couldn't stay away with so much left to be done! We are ever so grateful to them that they returned! Elder Fullmer and Elder Merrill were happy to help set up new closets in their "new" apartment. Sister Salden is loved by all of the missionaries, and has such a strong desire that they will leave our mission knowing how to keep an apartment neat and tidy!
It takes real team spirit, and hard work! Elder Salden and Elder Anderson works side by side with Elder Merrill.
Lots of hands makes light work!

Elder Fullmer is in awe of Elder Salden! There is no feat too challenging that can't be accomplished by our beloved Elder Salden!
Elder Everton loves to be involved when his companion, Sister Everton is not taking a missionary to the doctor or any other duties that come with being our mission nurse.

Before.........After!!!!
The Almere apartment has been the humble home for missionaries for over 20 years! it needed so much work! The ward members have contributed many hours to help with this huge project!
The missionaries are delighted with their new kitchen, with cabinets!
Elder and Sister Anderson and Elder and Sister DeLeeuw are in charge of the Young Adults Centers in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. They find the time whenever possible to help!
Ikea is like grown-up tinker toys!
The missionaries want to say a big Dankuwel to the senior couples for helping make such a huge difference in the physical environment of their living quarters. They can feel the difference when they live in an organized and clean environment. The spirit is felt more abundantly as they plan and prepare in their apartments each day, and then go forth to serve!
