President Brubaker and I have been so blessed to have missionaries from several countries of Europe serve in our mission. We met with some of our former missionaries at the temple in Zoetermeer on Saturday morning.
Elder Bastiaens was at the temple with a youth group from Brussels. It was perfect timing to meet with him! Soeur Shannon came all the way from Ireland, and brought her friend, Luke from England. Zuster Wassenaar took the train from Den Helder, and Zuster Vels and her husband, Mike, joined us from Apeldoorn. What a precious experience to be in the temple together.
Elder van Doesburg met us at the mission home after school. Hans Noot, one of President Brubaker's counselors came to the mission home, and discussed with the former missionaries, their important role they play in building the kingdom in their own countries in Europe.
We took advantage of the sunny day. Waht better place to go with the former missionaries than Keukenhof!
Madeleine Wasseanaar lives in a beautiful part of Holland. She has been close and personal with tulips during her teen years, as she worked in the tulip fields close to her home.
Who was the lucky person to find the Book of Mormon?
Luke and Avril came the furthest away from England and Ireland! Thanks so much for making the long journey to be with us! We love you both!
Mike waited for Susanne Vels to finish her mission. We were so happy they could pull away from school and work and join us for this precious time spent together with them.
