The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Finding Joy in the Journey

Elder Robinson and Elder Osmond are doing fantastic in Utrecht! President Brubaker and
I were delighted to start out our day with these two fine elders.
They greeted us with smiles from ear to ear!
President Brubaker understands the importance of using your
best missionaries for trainers, and it was very apparent in Utrecht! They are finding JOY in the journey!
Look at that great investigator list!

We then drove to South Rotterdam (Spijkenisse). I loved this very creative wall hanging in their apartment!
What a great way for the sprit of the former missionaries to be remembered that served here.
Beds are neatly made! Not always easy to do on a bunk bed! Great job elders!

The Saldens were johnny on the spot this morning, taking care of a few last minute details in the Spijkenisse apartment, before we arrived. Sister Salden is teaching the missionaries how to clean bathrooms, iron shirts, and all kinds of time saving tricks. I learn something new every time I am with the Saldens!

Elder Jex and Elder Duran were anxious to get on with the day after interviews,
and go find more people to teach!
While Elder Keith was being interviewed Elder Kuttler shared in detail the investigators in the Area Book
that they are teaching. He was so excited to share their miracles of finding with me! Elder Keith is one of our great trainers!

Elder Keith and Elder Kuttler are working well together and had their day all planned out.
We loved being with these four elders!

Elder Rayfield and Elder Verwey are our Zone Leaders in Rotterdam. I wish I had taken more pictures of their immaculate and organized apartment. Elder Rayfield is a "if it is broken, fix it" missionary! Working in construction before the mission has really paid big dividends. Elder Verwey is a joy to be around, with his eternal smile and positive attitude!
