The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Missionaries Spread Sunshine

Elder Johnson and Elder Weatherston greeted us with big smiles! They were excited to have us come to dedicate their apartment and share with us the great things that are happening in Zoetemeer. We were fascinated by this old map in their apartment. The Netherlands has grown since the map was made 30 years ago. Part of Holland was under water and has now been reclaimed by dyking and pumping!
Many miracles are happening in The Hague. Elder Black, Elder DeMaas, Elder Fritzler, and Elder Hansen are loving life as they are finding golden contacts to teach and setting several baptismal dates with their investigators.
These elders love rheir families back home, and shared family pictures
with me while President Brubaker was interviewing. It was a special treat for me!
Zuster Fowler and Zuster Reber arrived a few minutes after we did. They had a busy morning getting all their appointments finished before we arrived!
Elder DeMeester and Elder Helton are seeing many blessings come from their latest baptism a few weeks ago. Claybel, Vicki's husband loves to go joint teach with the Elders in Leiden. Vicki was baptized, and Claybel was re-activated. They were joined together in marriage and are anticipating the birth of their second son. The Gospel truly brings so much unity, love and joy into the lives of those who live the Gospel.

  1. Hi! I served in the old Brussels Belgium mission 16 or so years ago, and while I was French speaking, these photos bring back such great memories. I'm so glad to see that the apartments are getting in good order from the senior missionaries, and that the bikes still look the same! I really enjoyed the pic of the sisters with their bikes. THAT'S the mission pic I wish I had as I spent so much time on my bike in a skirt! Take care and keep up the great work spreading the gospel!
