The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Our Tour of the Mission Continues

Our first apartment visit today was in Den Bosch, Holland. Elder Mecham and Elder Matthews are so happy, you can feel this energy through their whole apartment. They have seven baptismal dates! It was a joy to visit with them, and have a small taste of the excitement they are experiencing right now!

I loved seeing their "area book" for members. Past missionaries have compiled this book that has a
photo of all the members of the ward and waht callings they have in the ward.
This gives the new missionary a great advantage as he tries to get to know the ward members better.

Someone got smart and invented soft klompens!

Sister Driggs and Robbins had lunch waiting for us in Dordrecht. What a treat!
The sister missionaries are very spoiled..
The bishop and his wife have opened their home to missionaries.
In the 3rd floor of their home they have finished off a small, apartment for the sister missionaries.
Sister Roberts is so good to the missionaries, and cooks for them!

Zuster Driggs and Zuster Robbins love serving together.
Elder and Zuster Langeveld are loved by all the missionaries,
but the Rotterdam missionaries get extra attention!
How blessed we are to have the Langevelds serving in our mission.
They are in charge of the Young Adult Center in Rotterdam.
Last but not least, we were greeted by our lovely sisters in Rotterdam.
Sister Fritz and Sister Hamblin are taking each challenge that comes their way
with a positive attitude.
They have three baptismal dates in Rotterdam!
This is Sister Fritz' bulletin board. I felt lifted and inspired!

Sister Hamblin and Sister Fritz are my favorite sisters in Rotterdam!
