The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Missionaries Smiling in Amsterdam and Haarlem

It was a warm sunny day driving to Amsterdam this morning. We started our second week touring our missionary apartments. The landscape in the Netherlands is breathtaking! We get so excited when we see the beautiful trees all growing in a row that are everywhere!
Zuster De Groot and Zuster Larsen were happy to greet us on this sunshiny day!
Zuster Larsen loves anything to do with art. She got very excited when they got to pick posters
for their apartment. I think they get a big reward for having the cleanest apartment.

Miracle story about Martha-She had been struggling whether or not to get baptized. She came to church with a question written down. She received her answer and talked to the sisters after church and was ready and knew she needed to get baptized.

Elder Mueller, Elder Schulte, Elder Favero, and Elder Bastian are serving in Amsterdam too.
With the help of our senior couples, we have a new apartment for the elders. That makes three new apartments in Amsterdam! The Beckstrands live in the same complex as the elders and sisters. They are very close to the church now.
The elders have been trained well! A little welcoming treat just for us!!!
Between these two companionships they have 14 investigators at church on Sunday!

We drove to Haarlem for our next visit with the sisters
We found them happy and well! Zuster Tanner and Zuster Hill love being in Haarlem.
After meeting with them in their apartment, we walked to the church and met George
who is getting baptized on Saturday! George has a desire to follow Jesus Christ's example, and is excited about being a new member of the church soon.
