The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Changes......

Transfers come around so quickly! Elder Favero and Elder Bastian came to the mission home Sunday night for dinner, and then went to the office together to make the final decisions on this transfer. Thirteen missionaries are going home, and six new missionaries have been detained at the MTC due to Belgian visas delays. They left the mission home, with a positive attitude that it would all work out.
Elder Favero and Elder Bastain were back in the office Monday morning with big smiles on their faces. The transfer once again had gone smoothly with lots of help from above.
We were all together one last time on Monday. Elder Favero is going to Turnhout, Belgium, where he will be training one of our new missionaries. We love you Elder Favero!
Many changes are taking place this transfer. Elder and Sister Tibbitts have served faithfully for 18 monhts, and they were trained by Elder and Sister Pankratz. Now the Tibbitts are training them!
Elder Tibbitts has one last thing on his list before going home! He is bound and determined to have the DVD projector installed before his mission is over!
Our mission is incredibly blessed with missionaries young and not quite so young willing to help make our mission the very best it can be. We will miss Elder McCarlie, and Elder and Sister Tibbitts. Thank you thank you for all you have done to make a REAL difference in our mission!
