The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Missionaries Share the Baptisms

Mary Dasi, St. Niklaas, September 3, 2011

Mary was found over 3 months ago by Elder Van De Graaff and Elder Van Doesburg at the station in Sint Niklaas. They had a positive conversation and exchanged information. But for one reason or another contact was lost and they weren’t able to meet with her. It wasn’t until mid-June or so that we met her again at her work. Elder Van De Graaff was tie shopping when Mary approached him and kindly said "Hello." Elder Van De Graaff was a little confused as to why a worker would approach him like that and continue to stare at him unless she was going to help him pick out a tie. Mary said, "What, you don’t remember me?" Elder Van De Graaff stared for a few seconds and then read her name tag and said "Oh, you're Mary!" We talked with her for a bit and set an appt with her (and yes, she did end up helping him pick out a tie). From the first appt with Mary we became best friends with her and from there our relationship grew even more. After learning of the Plan of Salvation Mary said, in her own words, "I am a changed woman!" Mary had received her testimony and nothing was going to stop her from learning more and being baptized into the church that she has been searching for for many years. Mary is also a fantastic missionary and is anxious to share the gospel with anyone that will listen! (Written by Elder Zeeman)
