The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

Our Temple Zone Conferences- The Hague and Antwerp Zones

We all have been looking forward to this day, and it has finally arrived! We love having a temple in our mission! The Hague and the Antwerp Zones started early to arrive at The Hague Temple at 9:00 am, to be ready for a wonderful experience in the temple together.
Who is that in white? Sorry the picture is so far away! Rick DeBruijn, one of our former missionaries, and his bride, Joyce, were married today! We were able to get a picture with them in front of the temple!
We were so delighted to be there at the same time!
After having a very special experience in the temple together, we all congregated at the church in Zoetermeer for our Zone Conference. We were privileged to have Elder Weidmann , an area authority from Switzerland, visit our mission. We were all blessed to be taught by him, and were given inspired guidance for our mission.
President Brubaker and Elder Bastian enjoy a moment together after the conference.
They received an "Aha" moment at the same time!
Elder Sehwartz, Elder van de Graaf, ElderAndrews, and Elder Wait are great elders, excited to have a moment to visit.
Rocky has his mission call to Finland, and wanted to see what a Zone Conference is all about. Elder Bastiaens made him feel welcomed!
Many of our missionaries loved the opportunity to visit with Elder Weidmann after the conference.
Elder Crittendon and Elder Guanuna loved Zone Conference.......
Elder Larson, Elder Alexander, and Sister Herring give Sheralyn a big hearty welcome. She is a mini missionary serving in Zoetermeer with Sister Kremer, and Sister Gardner. She is from Ghent, Belgium, and was excited to attend Zone Conference as part of her week as a missionary!

We all went away from this day feeling anxious to put into practice what we had learned. We felt blessed to be the Lord's missionaries, and love serving the people of Belgium and the Netherlands, who he loves so much!
