The Brubaker Family

The Brubaker Family

President Brubaker and I are excited to be here as the Mission President and companion of the Belgium Brussels Netherlands Mission! We love your sons and daughters, and feel to thank you for the wonderful missionaries you have raised! This is a very unique mission. Our mission includes two countries, and five languages, not including many dialects spoken in the Netherlands. The missionaries are teaching many people from all around the globe. With the help of the Spirit, the missionaries are finding those who have been prepared to receive the Gospel. This is truly the best mission in the world, and we are honored to be a part of it. We will try and take good care of your sons and daughters. We love them so much already!

We have 5 children and 11 wonderful grand children. We have so much fun together! We are grateful for the support they have given us as we prepared to leave for three years. Our home is in Salt Lake City, Utah. We have raised our family in the Millcreek Holladay area. We enjoy many activities together. We are happiest when we are hiking in Southern Utah, cross-country skiing into our rustic cabin in the Uintahs, enjoying a good game of Train or Settlers of Catan, or just being together and sharing a meal with each other. We love our family so much!!!

It is Spring in Rotterdam!

There are flowers popping out allover the Netherlands! It must be Spring! These beautiful daffodils put smiles on our faces as we made our way to the Rotterdam North building on Wednesday.
What is the Vision In Our Mission?
Elder Christensen and Elder Bjork embrace learning.
As missionaries we need to have faith the we CAN reach our goals and follow the Strategy to build the Kingdom.
Zuster Gardener, Zuster Jones, and Elder Bickham love being missionaries!
Our tactic is 2-2-5 We must embrace it!
Elder Van de Graff and Elder Ellis demonstrate ineffective contacting and effective contacting.
Set Goals that are so high that you probably could never attain them without the guidance of the spirit.
Elder Mower reads from Moses 6- the reason for the atonement
I was able to share with the missionaries, scriptures that Elder D.Todd Christofferson referred to as he taught us about the atonement in Frankfurt.
Elder Ombach reads from 11 Nephi 31

"Setting goals and plans are acts of faith." PMG p. 137
Miracle shared: Two Elders were walking to their "name" for the hour and on the way they came across a lady and a teen aged boy. The missionaries shared a message as they walked with them to their home where they were invited in. Once inside the mushrooms came out. There were 3 generations and more in the house. They shared the restoration and were able to set 5 baptism dates!!!
Sister Rich and Sister Schwab are seeing many blessings come from 2-2-5!
2-2-5 Consecrated Days Work!
2-2-5 CONSECRATED DAYS
Select names-9:00 pm planning'
-Prayerfully choose names
-Place a name by each hour that you are out
-Plan somewhat geographically to pass through areas
where there will be people to talk to along the way.
-Plan to be in the right areas for back up plans
What does breaking a board have to do with vision?
Concentrate, focus, and SUCCEED!For us to be successful in bringing others to Christ, we not only have to focus on bapitsm, but we have to focus on following through after baptism. Elder Bjork told us that if he only concentrates only on getting to the board, the fist gets hurt and nothing else happens. But when we focus on what happens after baptism as well as before, not only are we more successful at helping people get baptized, but also to remain active. Sister Pankratz had two happy missionaries! Elder Guanuna and Elder Ellis finally received their new name tags!
The missionaries had so many nice things to say about Zuster Anderson and Zuster Everton!
Happy Birthday to two of the nicest people I know! They picked healthy for their birthday gift!
We love our missionaries in the Rotterdam Zone!
