Margaret and Esmee, Zoetermeer, September 19, 2010
Margaret’s story is one of faith and action; she told us after church a story that will stick with me the rest of my life. She told us that she is new to the city and didn’t know what church to go to so she prayed to God to know where to go and to send members of that church to her. Elder Bell and Robinson met her on the street and then our first appointment we pulled out the calendar and then she told us that she felt at home in church, (she came to church before our first meeting). She was amazing to teach, she accepted everything and nothing was a challenge for her, she was the most prepared person. She just knew it was true and she never doubted. Her third week in church she got up and bore her testimony and told her story. She instantly became one with the ward. We had her over for dinner every week at a member’s house and she was going to ward activities and to showers for people getting married. After the baptism, Esmee asked if she could be baptized again, she was so excited. When she received the Holy Ghost she had tears in her eyes. We told her that this would be a day she will never forget and she said, “I know,” with a huge smile. We were so blessed to be here in this city at this time to see her progress and make the step. God led her to us and we were just blessed to be there at the right time and place.
