Marceline Masengu Wa Ilunga, Rotterdam North, September 11, 2010
Marceline was found about a month ago on the street. A couple months ago Marceline got the feeling that she needed to be baptized because she has never done it. She went to the Catholic church to get baptized there but the priest could only meet with her once a month and the process would take a long time. She didn’t want to wait that long for salvation. The day that Elder DeMeester and Elder Verwey met her she had been praying to find the truth. She was singing hymns to herself when two missionaries caught her eyes. She had been approached a couple years earlier by sister missionaries, but she told us she wasn’t ready then. The missionaries talked about baptism and she knew it was an answer to her prayers. When I got there (Elder Hansen) it was the third appointment. I asked her if she had prayed about these things and she said she had and she got a warm feeling from the spirit. Talk about a good first meeting with her. After that is has been smooth sailing and she was so excited to get baptized to follow Christ. (Written by Elder Hansen)
